Reese's Pieces Cookies

I was at the store looking for M&M's, to make M&M cookies. While I was on the baking aisle, we decided to try Reese's Pieces cookies. They turned out delicious! With the peanut butter, and chocolate! :) YUM!!
Here is the recipe:

3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 large egg
2 1/4 cups Gold Medal® all-purpose flour*
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup coarsely chopped nuts
1 bag (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips (2 cups) 
 
 Step 1: Heat oven to 375°F.
 
Step 2: In large bowl, beat sugars, butter, vanilla and egg with electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with spoon. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt (dough will be stiff). Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
 
Step 3: On ungreased cookie sheet, drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart.
Step 4:  Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown (centers will be soft). Cool 1 to 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
 
I substituted the chocolate chips for the Reese's Pieces. I also didn't add the chopped nuts, because I usually omit those. :)

Cookies done, on the rack cooling. :)

WHAT!!

Yeah, that is what I thought when I heard that Google Friend Connect is closing!!! For those of you who do not know what this is- GFC (Google Friend Connect) is the tool you use to follow me! They will be closing on February 29th, so from then on (if you have a non-blogger blog) you will use Linky Followers. I would like you to start to use Linky Followers to follow my blog just in case GFC is completely cut off. I have tested this site and it works great. It just isn't as simple as GFC! :( So go check out Linky Followers, and follow me today! :)

Valentine's Day Party

This last weekend we had our Valentine's Day party, because we are going to be busy on Valentine's Day.... It was AWESOME! Definitely will have to do it again next year! :) It was a Success. SO here are some pictures I took and edited myself.

Red Velvet Cake Balls

I found the recipe here. I LOVED them!
Here is a quick run through-
Step one:bake red velvet cake
Step two:let it cool completely
Step three:crumble the cake into bits and pieces
Step four:add one can of cream cheese frosting to crumbled cake










Step five:make into little balls










Step six:let them cool for a few hours(less if put in freezer)
Step seven:make chocolate dip









Step eight:roll balls in dip
Step nine:let them cool until served
Step ten: ENJOY!

Sneak Peek- Valentine's Party

Can't Wait!?? So, this weekend I have been working on my Valentine's Day Party. I was looking for decor inspiration and found some book page flowers. Here is my inspiration for this project. All the credit for this idea goes to Aubree at Yellow Blackbird: A Creative Blog.  My flowers are a little different because I didn't have a book that I wanted to rip some pages out of, so I used coloring book pages. I was forced to be unique, and find a different way...  I know it sounds like a weird idea but they turned out really nice. :) I loved them! :) The "coloring page" look added SO much to the flowers it was truly amazing! First I cut out small circles from coloring pages. I cut out about 4 layers per flower. Then used special scissors to give the edges a ridge. Then I hot-glued all the layers together. Next, I added glitter to the flowers. Then to complete them I added one jewel to the center of each flower. I was very happy with how they turned out. :)

I went to the store...and bought some designed plates and napkins, I also bought flower petals for decoration. I have not decided yet what I will exactly use the flower petals for... I might spread them out on the table or use them as filler. :) I also bought some m&m's which I will use for a craft at the party... :)

Tune- In

TUNE-IN TOMORROW TO SEE A SNEAK PEEK OF MY VALENTINE'S DAY PARTY coming up in two weeks! :) I actually just started putting my thoughts into works today. Which means I have a lot of work ahead of me to pull it all together. I will only be giving you an insight of what I have so far... :) I am excited to see how the party turns out in the end! :)

Crayola Photography

A while ago, in my art class my friend showed me how beautiful all the colors in crayon shavings mixed together. This was when I was inspired to pull out the crayons and do some sharpening! :) So I dumped out the shavings for a photoshoot! :) The pictures turned out fantastic! Here are my favs.
